During the Evening Gown section of the Miss Universe 2021 Preliminary Competition, held on December 10, 2021, Miss Bolivia (Nahemi Uequin), Miss Brazil (Teresa Santos), Miss Bulgaria (Elena Danova) and Miss Mexico (Débora Hallal) had troubles walking in their long gowns and tripped on stage, while Miss Cameroon (Akomo Minkata) tripped on the hem of her yellow dress and fell down as she was entering the catwalk!
